Lacy Construction Celebrates 85 Year Anniversary

Founded by Lester H. Lacy in 1919, Lacy Construction celebrates its 85 year history this year. The company is a Dallas institution in the construction industry, providing civil construction, general contracting services, paving and excavation and utility construction. Lacy has provided construction services for some of the areas best known landmarks, including Love Field, Ameriquest Field, Prestonwood Baptist and numerous residential sub-divisions and shopping centers.

Continuing an expansion mode, Lacy Construction is pleased to announce the appointment of Jack Parker as President. Parker will manage the general contracting operations, reporting to Mike Lacy, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. The appointment is really a homecoming as Parker began his career with Lacy Construction, working with the company from 1972 through 1978. Most recently, he has worked as a senior manager with Trammell Crow Company and Lincoln Property Company.

To keep pace with the growth, Lacy has refreshed the brand with a new marketing campaign that uses the theme, “Civil Construction, As Planned.”
Says Mike Lacy, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, “We have stayed in business for 85 years thanks to longstanding relationships with valued customers and suppliers. We’ve hired, retained and developed quality people, providing state-of-the-art training and making safety more than a slogan.”

The company has built several projects in Collin County, including Dallas North Tollway, Custer Road and FM 720 in McKinney. Construction has begun on the Frisco Soccer Stadium and Entertainment Complex, the future home of the Dallas Burn.
